JaeYeon (Eric) loves to start/join projects that can make “Positive Social Impact” to society.
He was an outreach director at GH(Global Hackathon) NPO. He led the team for recruiting 7000+(900+ Korean) hackers around the world and fundraising campaign for Global Hackathon Seoul, which is a unique opportunity to drive social and technological change, on a monumental scale, by instilling the hacker mindset to attendees from 100+ countries.
He is currently at SendBird, the no.1 chat API for mobile apps and websites, enabling real-time communication among apps' users ranged from e-commerce, live-video streaming, business collaboration, and consumer apps including NBA, Yahoo!, Reddit, Gojek, and Delivery Hero. SendBird have raised $120M+ USD to-date, backed by Y Combinator, Shasta Ventures, August Capital, ICONIQ Capital, Tiger Global Management, and FundersClub.
In his free time, he also runs SaaS Study Group (Community) for young professionals in SaaS industry to generalizae and specialize their expertise together via weekly virtual sessions and 10weeks program
